The 4-H veterinary science project provides an excellent way for young people who care for animals and may want to follow a career in veterinary medicine, explore the topic. In this project, members will learn about animal health, behavior, and visit with veterinarians. You do not have to own an animal to be in this project.

- Investigate animal behavior
- Learn what is normal for different types of animals
- Learn characteristics of different breeds and why they were developed
- Explore the different jobs veterinarians do
- Discover what kinds of diseases an animal might show
Reasonably priced materials are available for every project in Kansas 4-H. You can order the materials for your project online or contact your local Extension Office.
